A Holy Nation (Ep 60)
In Exodus 19:6 Israel is called “a holy nation”; in 1 Peter 2:9 the church is called “a holy nation.” Whether Old or New Covenant, the requirement for fellowship with God is the same: holiness. Because God is holy, He commands us to be holy. Hebrews 12:14 even reveals that without holiness, no one will see the Lord. No wonder John Wesley said, “My first priority is to be holy.” Shouldn’t it be our first priority also. www.shreveministries.org.
