Called to Be “A Living Sacrifice” (134)
The highest expression of your love for God is presenting your whole spirit, soul, and body to Him on an altar of sacrifice. The five kinds of offerings in the Old Testament era symbolize the various stages of our lives in devoting ourselves to God. The ultimate goal is getting to the place where your whole life breathes passion, purpose, and praise. Surrendering to this degree is not grievous, but joyous—an act of prayerful devotion to the One who did the same for us.
