Every Child of God Is a “Prisoner of Hope” (144)
Zechariah 9:12 says, “Return to the stronghold, you PRISONERS OF HOPE. Even today I declare that I will restore double to you.” Sincerely coming to Jesus involves surrendering to the authority of God. Those who do this lose control of their lives. They become prisoners of love. The love of God that delivers them from sin also constrains them to fulfill the perfect will of God, which can be very demanding. Those who choose that road receive the DOUBLE-PORTION: life with God now and life eternal in the world to come.
