Moved by Compassion: compelled to heal

Repeatedly in Scripture, Jesus is described as “moved by compassion, He…” This motivation alone is an adequate guide to loving the people we interact with in our daily lives. Matthew 9:36  When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them

Matthew 14:14  When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them and healed their sick.

Matthew 15:32 (& Mark 8:2)  Jesus called his disciples to him and said, “I have compassion for these people; they have already been with me three days and have nothing to eat.

Matthew 20:34  Jesus had compassion on them and touched their eyes.

Mark 6:34  (& Mark 6:34)  When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd.
