Gary Blackard, president of Adult and Teen Challenge discusses the work of faith-based recovery. He addresses the drug crisis in America and how the legalization of certain drugs has increased addictions and its impact on society. He provides alarming statistics and acknowledges that our nation is in trouble and that the problem continues to grow. Yet, even in the midst of addiction, there is hope. He reminds us that Christ came to forgive and heal and the church needs to remove the stigma and adopt the same approach. It’s time to learn how we can make a difference through knowledge and understanding and take practical steps to help loved ones struggling with addiction.
