Xenophobia is defined as the fear of strangers and is a term that is applied to any fear of someone who is different from us. Hostility towards outsiders is often a reaction to this fear. Asian Americans across the United States are reporting a significant increase in hate crimes, and harassment. More than a year after these attacks began, the pandemic has galvanized Asian Americans, many of whom have long felt invisible.
