We live in a world where hustle culture is huge. We’re busier and more stressed than ever before. Our commotion culture enjoys a lack of sleep as a badge of honor. Stimulants, like caffeine & Red Bull, provide the means to get moving in the morning; while sleeping pills, and night sedatives, allow us to forcibly shut down for some shuteye. Buying into the misguided notion that “You can sleep when you’re dead.” If there’s one thing we have lost in this past season, it’s our rhythm. It has been seriously upended. But now, as things are slowly returning, it seems as though we have less time than ever before. All of us are busy, feeling overwhelmed, and pulled in a million directions. Instead of living from a place of rest and purpose, we’re constantly putting out fires and powering through one more day. But what if we stop to rethink the rhythms in our life? What if we start getting intentional about what we’re doing—and why we’re doing it? What if this reset could actually position us to create a rhythm that brings us to a better place in our personal relationship with God than ever before?
In this episode of Keep It 100, we are going deeper in the conversation of rest as a power move. The life rhythm that releases results and have a conversation with university ministries powerhouse leader Eli Gautreaux.
