As we enter the new year there are many questions on our minds about new vision, hope and future for this year. God is releasing grain, wine, oil and new creative ideas . We want God ideas for 2023 and not good ideas only. We want greater relationship with Him as He reveals more of Himself this year through our gifts and opportunities . This month of January is the month of Firstfruits on the Gregorian calendar and month of Tevet on the Hebrew calendar . It’s a time to remember God is our sustainer and we should be blessing Him with a first fruit offering this month. Firstfruit is the whole of something, not the tithe or 10%. The first fruit sanctifies the rest of our giving for the year. Romans 11:16 clarifies this principle , “ If the first piece of dough is holy, the lump is also; and if the root is holy, the branches are too. “ Be thinking of how you can bless the Lord this month with a first fruit offering- the whole of your hourly wage or whole of your first sale of the year. God will increase your faith that He will sustain you and your first fruit will be evidence of your new capacity to believe this! Psalm 55:22 says , “Cast your burden upon the LORD and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.”
