New Age spirituality promotes the belief that Christ is within everyone and everything. According to that approach, Christ is a principle not a person and is different from the man, Jesus. This mindset used to be heralded primarily by advocates of yoga, Far Eastern religions, metaphysics, and the New Thought Movement—people who intentionally use Christian-sounding terminology to help persuade people familiar with the Bible to accept their ideas.
