Just Pray About it and Let God Move—Wrong Answer!
It sounds spiritual. It has the appearance of humility. It seems nice. However, it's often flat out wrong and a direct rejection of biblical directives. What is it? Just "praying about it" and letting God handle it. What is "it?" Anything God has mandated us to do.
This is why churches have leaders living in sin, and still behind the pulpit. This is why people are hanging out with professing Christians who are unrepentant in a sinful lifestyle. This is why churches refuse to "purge" unrepentant people from fellowship.
To say "just pray about it and leg God sort it out" is to demand God do something that he demanded us to do. If we put the ball back in God's court, you can be sure judgment will hit.
