No, God Isn't Always In a Good Mood

No, God Isn't Always In a Good Mood

It's shocking that people would reject the sermon "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God" by Jonathan Edwards, even though it helped launch the Great Awakening. Why do they reject it? They can't navigate between the ideas that God is good and that God would cast people into Hell.

Many have rejected any concept of God that includes wrath, anger, judgment, discipline or negativity. The problem? They are changing God's character to meet their own desire for some pixie dust fairy or big cuddly teddy bear.

God judges. People are still under his wrath. The terror of the Lord isn't always translated as reverence. And, he's not always in a good mood.
