There is deep, complete and overwhelming healing available to those who are ready to allow the Holy Spirit to operate.
Moses was trained and tested by Pharaoh and God. Both formed Moses into the man that would one day be called to rescue God's people.
As we pass tests, find healing, bless those who curse us and allow God to make wrong things right, our ministry will be absolutely powerful.
If there is legitimate abuse, we should absolutely move out of harm's way...and then allow God to take us through a process that leads to ultimate, remarkable freedom.
