No matter how well known Jesus became, he didn't forget that he needed to rely on God for wisdom and direction. Jesus always went to pray in secret places alone. He knew his dependency was on God. God holds leaders in ministry to a higher standard so how they listen to him is critical. God speaks in many ways, but he speaks most directly in the scripture and in prayer.
